Thursday:  Class Parties 9:00-10:00-   Students may be checked out with the teacher after the party- Early release at 12:15

Friday:  No School- Christmas Holidays begin!

January 7:  Back to School!

Students will bring home book orders today.  They are due next Friday, December 7. Week of November 12-16

Can you believe that we are only 1 week away from Thanksgiving Break??  Time sure has flown by this year.  Here are a few things happening next week:

  • We have a Writing Common Assessment on Tuesday
  • Wednesday will be the BIG KAHUNA party bus for students that sold 15 or more items.  More information will come home next week.
  • Thursday-The Big Kahuna fundraiser pick-up is scheduled for 2:00-5:30 p.m. in the gym
  • No Spelling Test this week!

Monday: Wear red – Support the Red Ribbon Awareness campaign.

Tuesday: Wear your favorite team jersey or T-shirt – “Team up against drugs.”

Wednesday: Wear dress code appropriate PJ’s – “Stay healthy and have sweet dreams.”

Thursday: Wear crazy socks – “Healthy habits help you stand out.”

Friday: Wear Roughneck spirit colors – “Roughneck strong against drugs.”

 

Tuesday will be our Career Day for the 4th-grade PBL.  We will have speakers all day talking about their careers and how math is involved.

We had a busy week this week!  The field trip Thursday was a great experience for the students.  They were even able to make some connections with a few Science concepts we have been learning – such as migration and the Monarch Butterfly.

We will have a Spelling test on Friday next week.  The words are:

Upcoming Events:

Thursday, Oct. 4–  Field trip to LeTourneau University’s Belcher Center to see the play.  Busses will leave around 11:30 and should be back at school around 2:15.  We will have lunch in the classroom before we leave, so students will need to bring a lunch & drink from home (or they may purchase one from the cafeteria).  Students need to wear a WO shirt if possible.

Friday, Oct. 5- Early release at 1:15 for Homecoming.  Pep Rally at 2:30 in the football stadium (weather permitting).

September 24-28

Next week:

Tuesday, September 25: Hopefully we will be planting our wildflower seeds in the garden! (if it’s not raining!)  Wear old shoes and something that you wouldn’t mind getting dirty.
